Dr. Steven Eyler received his Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University in 1977 and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. He is a past president of both the N.C. State Board of Examiners in Optometry and the Association of Regulatory Boards of Optometry. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the National Board of Examiners in Optometry, and is a Trustee for the NC State Optometric Society. Dr. Eyler is married and has two children.

Dr. Kenneth Best is a graduate of North Carolina State University and received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1982. He is a past president of the Piedmont Optometric Society, a former Trustee for the NC State Optometric Society and a former clinical examiner for the N.C. State Board of Optometry. Dr. Best has two children.

Dr. Magda Metwalli received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Michigan College of Optometry in 1995 and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. She completed a residency program at SUNY State College of Optometry in corneal disease and contact lenses, followed by a one year research fellowship in contact lenses and laser vision correction. Prior to joining our practice in 1999, Dr. Metwalli was the staff optometrist and contact lens specialist at the Duke University Eye Center in Durham, NC. Dr. Metwalli is married and has two children.

Dr. Robert Hamp received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Northeastern State University in 2000 and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. He completed a residency in Family Practice at Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. Dr. Hamp is a past-president of the Piedmont Optometric Society and a former Trustee for the NC State Optometric Society. He has also served as a clinical examiner for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry. Dr. Hamp is married and has one child.

Dr. Norva Elaine Osborne is a 1991 Cum Laude graduate of North Carolina State University and received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Alabama School of Optometry in 1995. She completed her residency at the VA Hospital in Tuscaloosa Alabama in 1996 and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. Prior to joining our practice, Dr. Osborne was the Staff Optometrist and Low Vision Specialist at the Waco VA Hospital and Waco Blind Rehabilitation Unit in Waco, Texas. She grew up in Northern Mecklenburg County and presently resides in Huntersville.

Dr. Stacy Schorner is a graduate of Juniata College, received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2007 and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. She completed a Primary Care residency at the W.G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury, NC. Dr. Schorner is a peer reviewer for Optometry, the professional journal of the AOA, and has lectured at state and national optometric meetings. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, North Carolina State Optometric Society, the Piedmont Optometric Society and the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Schorner resides in Charlotte.
