Dr. Tammy Hawks is excited to join the esteemed optometrists of University Eye Associates. She has served the Charlotte area as the sole proprietor of Charlotte Optometric Eye Clinic for nearly 30 years. Dr. Hawks graduated from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1988. She trained under pediatric and low vision specialists in the Philadelphia area before moving back home to North Carolina in 1993. She enjoys fitting specialty contact lenses for keratoconus patients and likes to comanage cataract, cornea transplant and glaucoma patients with many of the fine specialists in the Charlotte area.
Dr. Hawks is married with two grown children, two grandchildren, two dogs, two cats and is a backyard pond enthusiast.
