Dr. Hannah DeMarino

Dr. Hannah DeMarino, OD, MBA, is a third-generation optometrist passionate about maximizing her patients’ sight and comfort. Originally from Glenville, West Virginia, she earned her biochemistry degree from West Virginia University, her Doctor of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University with clinical honors and advanced studies in anterior segment disease, and completed a residency in primary eye care at the VA San Diego Healthcare System. She later earned her MBA from Glenville State University in 2024 to broaden her skills as a clinician and leader.

After practicing in Wilmington, NC, Dr. DeMarino has joined University Eye Associates to be closer to family. She provides comprehensive eye exams and is especially passionate about diagnosing and treating dry eye disease. Dr. DeMarino offers advanced in-office therapies such as intense pulsed light (IPL) and LipiFlow thermal pulsation, alongside customized at-home regimens to help patients achieve lasting relief. She also manages glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and contact lens fittings.

Outside of the office, Dr. DeMarino enjoys OrangeTheory workouts, trying new restaurants, and spending time with family, friends, and her Bernedoodle, Ella.
